Sara Lodge being a new care home, the staff numbers would depend on the type of service facilities and the care needs of Service Users* who would select Sara Lodge to be their future home. At Sara Lodge, there will be a three shift staffing operation (6:45am – 2:00pm, 1:45pm – 9:00pm and the night shift from 8:45pm – 7:00am) to suit the needs of every Service User. Sara Lodge would adhere to ‘Residential Forum of Care Staffing in Care Homes for the Young Adults’ and the minimum standards at all times.

Staff employed at Sara Lodge would be with necessary NVQ Level qualifications and/or with experience in the relevant field, where possible. Other staff will receive constant training, support and supervision ensuring high standards and those lay down by Social Services time to time. Also, it would be the policy of Sara Lodge to encourage its staff to study whilst in employment after identifying the special needs of its Service Users and to financially support those members of staff to meet the required standards expected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).All staff undertake an Enhanced Disclosure with the Criminal Records Bureau.
